Smoking Cherry Bour-bombs

Fourth of July picnics call for a refreshing patriotic party punch that packs a punch and, this cocktail will do just that with a smokey bourbon smoked cherry “bour-bomb”!

Prep Time: 5 minutes  + 12 hours to soak cherries

Yield: 6; 6-ounce cocktails

Glassware: 8-ounce rock glass



  • 1 quart fresh lemonade 

  • 15 ounces bourbon
  • 6 ounces LiDestri’s Pink Limoncello

  • 1 cup large cherries preserved in syrup (Bada Bing is a good brand)
  • 1 Tablespoon liquid smoke


The night before add liquid smoke to cherries and the syrup in a jar or sealable container. Allow to marinate overnight.

To assemble drinks, pack rock glasses with ice. Pour 2 1/2 ounces bourbon, 1 ounce Pink Limoncello, a splash of the Smokey cherry juice (from marinated cherries) into a glass. Then, top with lemonade. Garnish each drink with a smoky cherry.
