Shamrock Shake

This healthy Shamrock Shake loaded with vibrant green spinach and mint, creamy avocado, bananas, and cashew milk and finished with shaved semi-sweet chocolate may be exactly what the detox doctor orders after St. Patty’s Day (one of the biggest drinking holidays of the year).

And, those of you who just want a creamy delicious mint chocolate chip smoothie we raise our glass to you! Toasting, “Sláinte!”

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

Yield: about 4 cups

Servings: 2

Glassware: Pint Glass

Straws: “Stable [Hay] Straws” by Veratera

Ingredients

  • 2 peeled frozen bananas, or substitute 5 pitted Medjool dates 1 ½ cups ice
  • 1 ½ cups baby spinach, packed, for a zingy bite substitute half for shamrock leaves
  • ½ avocado, pitted and scooped
  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves, or to taste
  • 1 ½ cups cashew milk, or substitute milk of choice
  • 2 ½ tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons shaved semi-sweet chocolate, divided
  • Shamrock leaves, optional garnish

Directions

In a high powered blender blend until smooth. Taste and adjust mint and/or honey as needed,

Blend again and then divide between two pint glasses, top with shaved chocolate, pop in some straws, and serve right away!
