Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of chicken wings
  • 1 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 - 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, stems removed and leaves minced
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 (5-ounce) container Frigo® Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • Fresh thyme, garnish

Directions

Preheat oven to 425° F.

Pat chicken dry and then toss in a large bowl with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and cumin. Lay the chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or fitted with a baking rack.

Bake the chicken wings for 24 minutes, flipping the chicken after 12 minutes.

In the meantime, heat the butter in a medium sauté pan on low until melted and then add the garlic, thyme, and paprika. Let cook for 3-5 minutes or until fragrant. Remove from heat and reserve to side.

When the chicken has baked for 24 minutes, turn the broiler to high, and allow the chicken to brown and get crispy for approximately 5 minutes.

Remove chicken from the oven. Place in a large bowl, pour the garlic butter sauce over the chicken wings and add half of the 5-ounce cup of Frigo® Shredded Parmesan Cheese. Using a pair of tongs, toss the wings to coat all of them thoroughly.

Pile on a platter and top the wings with Frigo® Shredded Parmesan Cheese and fresh thyme.

Enjoy!
