Chocolate Tea Cake Filled with Rosewater Frosting

Featured at Epcot Food and Wine Festival

and paired with Banfi Rosa Regale.

When greeted with the heavenly thought of creating a dish to pair with Banfi’s Rosa Regale, I couldn't help but think of the old adage about stopping to smell the roses.  Whoever came up with that, was spot on!

This thought of stopping to smell …err savor the Rosa Regale, while enjoying the Food and Wine Festival left me inspired. As a result, I created the following Chocolate Tea Cake Filled with Rose Water Frosting and a perfect pairing.

The flavors of rich chocolate, tea, and Garam Masala with the soft floral scent of rosewater frosting will instantly whisk you away to a far away flower garden. Finishing nicely, with Banfi’s Rosa Regale will then leave you stopping to smell the roses while making a satiating toast to life.
