Rudolph’s Jingle Juice

This Holiday Gin Cocktail that looks and tastes like Christmas! This refreshing gin cocktail is filled with orange, citrus, and fresh rosemary syrup. It’s one smooth delicious drink for your next holiday party!

Serves: 1

Yield: 15-ounce

Glassware: 6-ounce martini glass, 8-ounce Tom Collins, or 8-ounce rocks glass

Ingredients

Cocktail:

  • 3 ounces gin
  • ½ ounce orange juice
  • ½ ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ ounce rosemary syrup, recipe follows
  • 1 ounce soda water
  • Optional Garnishes: Orange slices, frozen cranberries, fresh rosemary sprigs

Rosemary Syrup:

  • ¼ cup rough chopped rosemary
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup of white granulated sugar or substitute honey

Directions

Make Rosemary Syrup in a small saucepot over high heat.  Bring 1/2 cup water to a boil, add the sugar.  Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, add rosemary, and steep the mixture off the heat for 20 minutes. 

Strain rosemary and reserve syrup in the refrigerator

Make Cocktail:  Pour the first four ingredients in a shaker packed with ice.  Shake vigorously until shaker is frosty.  Strain into a martini glass or pour over ice packed in a Tom Collins or rocks glass.  Top with club soda stir with a rosemary sprig and garnish with orange, frozen cranberries, and/or a rosemary sprig.
