Overnight Oats

This overnight oats recipe is a great healthy breakfast that you can prepare in advance and it can last all week. Therefore, this is a go-to make-ahead meal idea for Sunday night to get through the workweek.

Refrigeration Time: 6 hours

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 ½ cup whole milk, or sub other dairy-free milk, such as coconut, soy, or almond
  • ½ cup fruit fresh or dried, such as apple, raisins, apricots
  • 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Optional Garnidh:

  • fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, nut butters

Directions

Combine oats, milk, maple syrup and vanilla in a mason jar or bowl. Seal with a lid and shake to mix, or stir if using a bowl. (If making a larger batch, you can stir the ingredients together in a bowl.)

Refrigerate at least 6 hours and up to 4 days. Warm-up or serve cold on the go, but stir and add toppings right before serving.
