This Indian Summer Milk Punch takes a classic milk punch cocktail and gives it a remix inspired by 1920s India. Spices like cardamom and turmeric give refreshingly lively floral notes to a drink often associated with holiday nogs.

Make candied mango garnish by coating mango in honey and dusting in sugar, turmeric powder, and cardamom powder.
Build the cocktail in a shaker by stirring together Diplomático Rum, Cardamom Liqueur, turmeric syrup, and cashew milk with ice until chilled. Strain into an American Metalcraft® Classic Mint Julep Cup over ice.
Garnish with a piece of candied mango on and serve with a straw.
*Note, if making a party size, prepare in a pitcher with chilled ingredients and serve with ice.
Turmeric Syrup: Add 1 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar to a small saucepan and heat until sugar is dissolved. Add 1 tbsp turmeric powder and stir until dissolved. Allow to cool and store excess in the fridge. Some separation will occur – just shake up the syrup before use.
