Rinse zinnia blossoms and pull petals, being careful to remove seeds.
First, make a zinnia syrup by placing petals in a small saucepan; add 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, lime juice and zest, orange juice, and fresh mint. Bring mixture to boil and cook until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool for 2-3 minutes.
Strain syrup mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher to strain out petals and lime zest.
Finally, add the remaining water to a pitcher.
Chill or serve immediately over ice. Garnish by floating fresh zinnia petals in a glass.
